Sick, AGAIN

Is this just how it's going to be for his entire childhood?

Carter and I went to Target yesterday (shocker!) to pick up a couple of groceries. As we were shopping, he randomly told me that his ear hurt, and eto his left ear (the one that still has a tube in it). I inspected it carefully, and he was acting pretty normal, so I just left it at that.

Well this morning, Ryan went into pick Carter up and he was acting very irritable and clingy (not all that unusual for mornings around here :) But then he told us that his neck hurt. So Ryan and I inspected and Carter just kept crying and fussing and whining anytime we touched his head/neck or shoulder. He's been really cranky and lethargic ever since.

So a dose of Motrin and a morning home from school later...we are heading to see Dr. Huval at 9:45am and hopefully find out that nothing is wrong, but I didn't want to wait until the weekend to find out that it's really something. Cross your fingers!

**Update: We had a lovely visit with Dr. Huval (or Dr. Cueball as Carter calls her), and after testing negative for the flu, we determined that it's just a viral infection with some congestion and ear fluid. So Carter's on ear drops (AGAIN) and hopefully will be back to normal soon.

He was great for Dr. Huval and listened intently when she looked in his ear 'for lizards' and had to listen to his 'heartbeep.'
