Spiderman Pajammies!

Thanks to Maw Maw Ethel, Carter is the coolest Spidey around :)

Eliza rolled over!

Twice! I noticed a couple of days ago that she could get halfway from her back onto her side, so I put her on her tummy this morning, and she pushed back and was halfway over, then one good kick and she rolled straight onto her back! So I put her back on her belly and she did it again!

Carter was such a chunky thing that it seemed to take forever for him to roll over. I think she's going to be a mover and a shaker ;)

Eliza's Two Month Checkup

We had Ellie's two month appointment with Dr. Huval yesterday. Here are her stats:

Weight: 11 lbs, 10oz (75%)
Height: 23.5in (90%)
Head: 40cm (75%)

Dr. Huval said she looked like a 3.5-4 month old! To me, she still seems so tiny, but she is growing like a weed ;) Everything looks great, and she seems to be recovering like a champ from the salmonella. We are still monitoring her and will do so for a few months until we are sure it's all gone from her system.

She cried her pretty little head off when she got her vaccinations, which of course broke my heart, but it is just something that is important to do because the last thing we want is for her to get sick from a serious disease and wind up in the hospital again. The only thing we skipped was her Rotavirus vaccine, just so that we don't stress her little tummy any more than it already has been.

She's meeting all her physical and developmental milestones, including my favorite...the smiles :)

All in all, a great appointment! We'll hopefully be free and clear for two more months.

Two months old!

And growing way too fast :(

Too much love ;)

Eliza's Baptism

Eliza was baptized the day after Christmas. It was a reschedule, because she was originally supposed to be baptized on December 12...and that was one of the glorious days in the hospital battling salmonella ;) So instead, the day after Christmas we frantically cleaned up the excess wrapping paper and got ourselves out the door. The baptism was held at St. Pius Catholic Church and Fr. Steve LeBlanc performed the ceremony. He actually sang at my parents' wedding, so that was pretty sweet too :)

There were six babies total being baptized (including twin boys!!), and I'll venture to say Eliza was the quietest baby there. She passed out not long after we got there, and she slept SO soundly through the ENTIRE thing. She jumped a little when he poured the water on her head, but didn't even crack an eyelid. She was her usual angelic self :) Here are some pics from the day!

passed out!

This dress was actually worn by both my mother and me. My mom isn't sure if her mother actually wore this gown too or if she made it, but we are pretty sure she crocheted the hat and boots. So pretty :)

What a little angel

Merry Christmas

We had a wonderful holiday this year. Ryan and I are so thankful for the always hilarious, charming and sweet Carter, as well as the most angelic magical baby that parents could ask for. Eliza truly is beautiful and sweet and magical. We are so lucky.

We also must have been very good this year because Santa came and left us tons of goodies! Here are some pictures from the last couple of days of festivities.

Santa Fail 2.0

We headed out last night to Acadian Village and even got to meet up with Carter's buddy Joseph :) It was a lovely evening (though it got COLD!!) I was bound and determined to have at least ONE picture of both kids with Santa, and last night was my last chance. Unfortunately it was a big FAIL! Haha

Here's last year's picture for reference:

Here are some more pictures from around Acadian Village.
