It's lame, but it's the truth.

It's New Years' Eve, and we're staying home. I can hear the fireworks going outside, and Carter keeps shoouting, "fireworks! fireworks!" (Ever notice how he always speaks in exclamations? I'm not making that up when I type...he really does :) Carter will probably be asleep by 8 (he napped late today), so Ryan and I will rent a movie or just hang out and ring in the new year.

This was such a great year, greater than we could have imagined. Carter grew so much from last December 31...learning to crawl, then walk, then run! He went from silence to probably close to 200 words. He is almost 18 months old and weighs close to 28 lbs and is 32+ inches tall. What a long way we've come from a 5.5 month old chunk who could barely even sit in a shopping cart unassisted. We're so lucky to have him.

Happy New Year and here's to an even greater year ahead. Bring on 2009.
